The Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance. Title IX states: No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
Title IX applies to Engadine Consolidated Schools. To comply with Federal law, the Board of Education has adopted the following policies directly related to Title IX: Policies 2264 and 2666.
Additional policies relating to Title IX include: 1442, 1662, 2260, 3122, 3362, 4122, 4362, 5517 and 8400.
